Addiesdive MY050S quick review — The orange dial that stands out

Next addition to my collection? Something colorful. I was browsing online until this orange timepiece popped up. I immediately take a look at it and well, I guess this is it. Bought it for $15 and I’m so excited.

When it arrived, it didn’t came in a tactical hard case, to which I was expecting — but rather in a regular rectangular watch box.

The watch came in a black NATO strap which is perfect to match the orange dial. First impression? It looks great. A dive style watch for $15, priced fairly.  Maybe the NATO strap just makes it look chunky on my wrist but you can customize it according to your preference. There are other options such as silicone strap, stainless steel bracelet, and different colors of NATO strap — but this black variations fits the orange dial very well.

The case finishing is surprisingly smooth. The rotating bezel is 60 clicks, unidirectional. The bezel is engraved with minute markers painted in white, with the lumed pip at the 12 o’clock. The bezel could be improved however. It doesn’t really align much with the markers and does move easily with a slight wobble.

The orange dials stands out very well with a little lumed tubes around it and a 24 hour markings inside the printed hours. The hands are also lumed and there is a small date window on the right side as well. Powered by Miyota 2115 ensuring accuracy and durability along with the 50M water resistant and a screw down caseback.

Quick addition — I swam with it yesterday and it’s still working fine. Overall review, it’s nice. Dive style watch with an orange dial suited with black NATO strap, super comfortable and it feels like you’re not wearing it. The only flaw is probably the bezel — which could be improved. Addiesdive produce good watches and this one is one of the underrated.
